About Me

I’m Daniela Baez, a multimedia producer and technical director with a passion for storytelling and a commitment to creating impactful, high-quality content. My experience spans studio operations, live broadcasting, podcast production, and multi-camera directing, and I have worked across a wide range of platforms, audiences, and production environments.

I currently work at IBM, where I lead productions out of the One Madison studio. I manage studio upkeep, equipment inventory, and technical readiness, and I operate audio, video, lighting, the video wall, and teleprompter systems for internal and executive-level assignments. I support high-visibility livestreams for senior leadership and produce video content across studio, office, conference, and on-location settings. My work covers the full production lifecycle, from concepting and filming to editing and final delivery.

Before stepping into my studio role, I produced podcasts and video content across IBM’s Inbound team. I launched Techsplainers, a daily audio podcast that I produced from end to end, and I served as the showrunner for the Transformers podcast with Ann Funai. I handled guest outreach, recording, SRT review, metadata, thumbnails, social clips, and distribution. I also built Airtable-based systems that streamlined production workflows and improved visibility across teams.

Prior to IBM, I served as the Multimedia Producer at Seacrest Studios, a Ryan Seacrest Foundation initiative located inside Northwell Health’s Cohen Children’s Medical Center. As the lead for the only Seacrest Studio in New York, I managed all technical and creative operations. I produced high-resolution photo and video content of celebrity visits, specialty projects, and daily programming, and I oversaw live and pre-recorded broadcasts for a 24/7 closed-circuit network. I worked both behind the scenes and on-air, often switching between technical director and talent.

Before that, I worked as a Technical Director for LiveX, where I directed a three-camera studio setup and produced 180 workout videos for the Expect Fitness app. I live-switched multi-camera productions, collaborated with creative teams, and delivered polished, ready-to-publish content.

My early career began at SiriusXM, where I spent more than three years in the Video Programming department. As a Junior Technical Director and Production Assistant, I live-switched studio productions for talk shows, podcasts, and special events. I worked with advanced production tools, coordinated offsite shoots, and supported teams across pre-production, production, and post.

My foundation in storytelling comes from my time at Santa Clara University, where I graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Communication with an emphasis in Digital Filmmaking. I produced documentary and fiction projects, developed narratives, managed lighting and sound, and edited footage. My senior thesis, Teacher’s Pet, involved creating a full production book, filming on location for more than 18 hours, and editing over 40 hours across a 20-week period.

I am fluent in Spanish and French and experienced with Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, Audition, Avid Media Composer, vMix, Tricaster, Blackmagic switchers, PTZ cameras, SAS audio consoles, and CASTUS broadcast systems. I thrive in fast-paced, high-profile production environments and enjoy working with diverse teams and talent.

Whether I am behind the camera, directing a studio, or shaping creative direction, I am dedicated to producing work that informs, entertains, and resonates.
